Program in Medical Humanities, Health Law, and Ethics
University of Connecticut The Program for Medical Humanities, Health Law, and Ethics is an educational and research program at the University of Connecticut Health Center directed by Zita Lazzarini, JD, MPH. The mission of the interdisciplinary Program is to advance knowledge about the medical humanities, health law, and ethics through education and research. In addition to its teaching and research activities, the Program sponsors a monthly seminar series during the academic year for public health and medical practitioners on a variety of topics including public health law, policy, medical ethics, and research. Faculty from the Program teach in the Graduate, Medical and Dental Schools. The Program is housed within the Department of Community Medicine and Health Care in the School of Medicine.
